Pull Planning Whiteboards for Construction Sites

A pull planning session starts with defining the phases or milestones of the project and the desired dates of completion. These milestones then represents as a timeline on a whiteboard. Now comes the collaboration portion. But wait…

Include us before you get to the whiteboard stage by collaborating with us to help you design a custom whiteboard system that will pull everything together before the critical stages begin.

Discovering details about a recent job with Skanska will open a whole set of ideas for your next job. Actually, it was more of a system then a job, that included seven custom printed dry erase boards and a set of 832 Dry Erase Colored Magnets.

All boards are magnetic and dry erase
This project is pictured with three middle boards. When on site, it will have 5 middle boards to go with the first “Planning Phase” board and the last “Constraints” board. All boards are magnetic and dry erase.

Total Project 20′ x 6′

This total project is 20’ x 6’, consists of seven boards on a removable mounting system. The purpose of the system is to not be permanent, but rather allows rearranging as the schedule progresses. It displays 10 Weeks at a given time, but after two weeks pass, the current whiteboard section moves to the last spot, all the way to the right, while all the other whiteboards move up in position.

Each board has 20 lines that is fillable with info from marker or colored dry erase magnetic notes. These notes fit in the blocks on the Dry Erase Board. There are 13 different colors, so each contractor can have their own color. Each contractor’s development tracks easily on the board.

The beautiful background watermark image on the boards is a rendering of the finish project, the Signia by Hilton. This represents everyone’s eventual goal.

Signia by Hilton will be located at the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment campus in North America.

If you are tired of using Post-It notes on paper sheets or a dry erase board with hand drawn lines, that are not permanent, contact us to discuss what options are available.  Things to consider are the size of the board and what you want to track. Let us assist you on your next project.
